Role: This is an entry-level position within the production group in the mechanical department. It is to join the team specializing in harness-type products. The technologist is responsible for suggesting production-related methods and supporting the Manufacturing group during the assembly phase. This position requires supervision from senior positions. Responsibilities: - Assist senior technologists in the standardization of manufacturing processes. - Assist in the drafting of Operating Instructions according to the approved processes in force for the assemblies/parts for which he/she is responsible. - Follow-up on production schedules during assembly. - Pass on problems reported during production to higher-level technologists and suggest solutions. - Analyze and interpret Technical Drawings issued by Engineers in order to draw up Production Routings. - Respect production schedules by identifying deviations and proposing contingency plans that can be standardized. - Assist assemblers by carrying out detailed reviews during production. - Integrate non-conformance rework procedures (NCR, DR, etc.). - Ensure that work is carried out in accordance with internal procedures and in compliance with our occupational health and safety rules. - Help maintain the efficiency of production laboratories and suggest improvements. - Perform other related duties as assigned by more senior technologists. Minimum qualifications : - 0-2 years experience. - DEC in electromechanical technology, mechanics, electronics or equivalent. - Knowledge of Microsoft software. - Basic knowledge of assembly tools and manufacturing processes. - Good oral and written comprehension and communication skills in English and French (Contact with customers outside Quebec). - Critical and analytical thinking, with the ability to express the knowledge acquired during the course of one's career. - Knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) database software an asset. What you’ll do

The technician will assist senior staff in standardizing manufacturing processes and drafting operating instructions for harness-type products. They are also responsible for monitoring production schedules, analyzing technical drawings, and supporting assemblers during the production phase.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a DEC in electromechanical technology, mechanics, electronics, or an equivalent field with 0-2 years of experience. Proficiency in Microsoft software and basic knowledge of assembly tools are required, along with the ability to obtain security clearance.
