small engine mechanic

*Overview:* We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to join our team. As a Mechanic, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining various types of lawn and garden equipment. This is a hands-on position that requires strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with a variety of tools and equipment in a fast paced environment. *Duties:* * Performs diagnostics and repairs on 2-cycle and 4 cycle lawn/garden equipment. * Use dealer portals to look up parts required for repairs * Participates in service training programs required. * Maintains current knowledge of products. * Maintains a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion. * Follows all safety rules and regulations. * Completes all reports and forms required in conjunction with work assignments. * Accounts for all time and for all material used in performing assigned tasks. *Skills and Requirements:* * Experience as a small engine technician. * Ability to perform repairs and required maintenance using special tools and equipment. * Proficient knowledge of mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems of lawn and garden equipment. * Ability to use computer for parts lookup functions. * Proficient oral and written communication skills. * Professionalism when communicating with clients. * Attention to detail and organizational skills. * Ability to lift at least 75 lbs. repeatedly.
