What You’ll Be Doing In this role, you will play an important part in supporting Mint’s commitment to exceptional service, operational excellence, and a positive experience for patients, customers, and team members. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Prescription Processing: Receive, transcribe, and verify the technical accuracy of new and refill prescriptions. Independent Final Check: Conduct final checks of prepared prescriptions to ensure accuracy before dispensing. Compounding: Prepare non-sterile (ointments, liquids) and sterile (intravenous injections, chemotherapy) medications. Patient Care: Gather medication histories, administer injections (where authorized), and teach patients how to use medical devices like inhalers or glucometers. Inventory & Records: Maintain medication inventory, manage narcotic and controlled substance records, and process third-party billing. What You’ll Bring We are looking for someone who brings the right mix of experience, professionalism, initiative, and care. The ideal candidate will have: Education: Completion of a CCAPP-accredited Pharmacy Technician Training Program. Registration: Active registration (or eligibility) with the provincial regulatory body (e.g., Alberta College of Pharmacy). High attention to detail. Strong knowledge of pharmacology and drug calculations. Proficiency in Pharmacy Management Systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
