Job summary

The primary function of the Quality Assurance Technologist/Technician is to ensure compliance to product quality as defined by the customer, code and other specifications through proper translation into working documents and testing of the equipment. This position fills an existing vacancy. Essential Duties Perform testing on custom designed Electrical components designed for small current/voltage measurements. Ensure that the quality of the product being shipped meets customer requirements. Represent quality engineering at the contract level. Generate quality plans and quality engineering plans for each contract as required. Assist with the implementation and provide input to the Quality Procedures Manual as required. Generate quality documents including procedures, inspection and test plan, quality control charts, history dockets, acceptance test reports, special process qualification programs, etc. Review and approve drawings, bills of material, special process procedures and process documentation Handle non-conforming materials with suitable disposal and conduct MRB meetings to define and implement corrective action. Review and approve purchase orders, material certifications and releases. Identify customer requirements and ensure they’re met through planning quality engineering activities. Approve test results and troubleshoot testing problems. Identify the need for process auditing on a contract basis. Liaison with assigned job engineering to expedite approval of quality documents by the customer. Other Duties Perform quality engineering filing as required. Develop new test techniques and establish proper training programs for them. Design quality control fixtures and review and approve manufacturing fixtures as required. Conduct special investigations. Perform other related tasks as assigned. Maintain the Mirion ESD Program. Contact Frequent contact with all levels of personnel. Frequent contact with vendors. Some contact with customer quality assurance contacts. Direction Performs duties under the guidance of the Quality Manager. Education & Experience Requirements EDUCATIONAL Diploma from an Engineering Technologist program or equivalent. Technical knowledge in the field of electrical / electrical engineering. EXPERIENCE Overall experience to include inspection activities in quality control. Working knowledge of the requirements of a 10CFR50App B, CSA Z/N299, ASME NQA-1, ISO 9001, quality programs and systems would be beneficial. Working knowledge of electronics. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical specifications. OTHER REQUIREMENTS Proficient written and verbal communication. Problem solving capabilities.
