As an Audio-Visual Technician (Entry Level), you’ll gain hands-on experience installing and supporting AV and collaboration systems while working alongside experienced technicians across the country. Responsibilities Project Support and Installation Assist with the installation of audio-visual and collaboration systems in meeting rooms and other technology-enabled spaces that support modern workplace collaboration. You will gain hands-on experience while learning installation best practices and building your technical skills including: * Assisting with mounting displays, cameras, and speakers * Supporting installation of AV equipment racks and associated hardware * Helping with pulling, terminating, and testing structured cabling * Assisting with basic rack wiring and system connections * Supporting the setup of video conferencing and collaboration systems * Learning cable labeling standards and helping maintain clean wire management * Assisting with basic mechanical tasks and equipment placement Technical Development * Learn to configure and support video conferencing and collaboration systems * Assist with troubleshooting basic AV system issues, including control systems and DSPs * Develop foundational knowledge of AV technologies, cabling, and installation standards Collaboration and Communication * Communicate effectively with team members, customers, and colleagues * Support a safe and organized worksite environment * Partner with technicians across the country to deliver consistent, high-quality installations Skills and Experience * Interest in audio-visual technology, collaboration systems, or IT infrastructure * Basic computer knowledge and comfort learning new technologies * Strong willingness to learn and take initiative in a hands-on environment * Ability to work independently and meet deadlines with guidance * Exposure to AV installations, like home theatre, digital signage, or related work is an asset * Comfortable using hand and power tools * Exposure to basic carpentry or framing is considered an asset * Familiarity with troubleshooting or operating control systems is an asset * High School Diploma or equivalent preferred * Valid driver’s licence and access to a reliable vehicle preferred * Willingness to travel to client sites as required * Ability to lift and move equipment as needed MyRewards@MNP More than a paycheque, MNP is proud to offer customized rewards for our team members. This is a current opportunity with an ideal hiring range of between $50,000 to $65,000 per year depending on skills and level of experience.
