Job summary
Maintenance Millwright or 4th year Apprentice Location: Richmond Hill, ON Reports to: Maintenance Manager Industry: Heavy Industrial Manufacturing Hours: Monday to Friday 6 am - 2:30 pm Here's What You Will Do Work daily with CMMS software to create, modify, and close work orders Read blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures Install, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, fans, tanks, conveyors, furnaces and generators according to layout plans using hand and power tools Operate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machinery Inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions. Install, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and mechanical logic controls Adjust machinery and repair or replace defective parts Operate machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machinery Clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery Assemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment May perform other tasks as deemed appropriate Here's what we're looking for and what you will need to succeed: 5+ years of hands-on Maintenance experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment 433A Licensed Millwright Forklift license or experience with willingness to become certified Overhead Crane Operator license or experience with willingness to become certified Experience troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery including basic skills with PLC troubleshooting Ability to read and interpret blueprints/drawings Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills Ability to work in a fast-paced and evolving environment Strong oral and written communication and teamwork skills Ability to work in a physically demanding environment (lifting, moving materials, going up ladders, crouching, etc.) Ability and willingness to learn, curiosity, positive attitude and commitment to getting the job done right in a timely manner Reliable and committed with good attendance record Computer proficient: MS Office, CMMS High regard for health and safety and commitment to always following company and safety policies and procedures Excellent attention to detail, highly organized, and strong multi-tasking abilities Experience using a variety of hand and power tools. Welding or fabrication experience is an asset. Requirements
