Key Responsibilities: * Perform all maintenance and repair work in either the plant or grounds. * Assure all assembly quality specifications are met by continuously monitoring the assembly processes on the equipment assigned. * Troubleshoot all aspects of the assembly process as required. * Maintain spare parts and components inventory at appropriate levels. Inform the tool crib attendant of low levels or shortage of parts or components in stock. * Maintain up to date documentation of equipment. This includes documenting changes and alterations made to all equipment. * Solve maintenance related problems with minimal interruption to production. * Actively participate in the Preventative Maintenance Program and down time reduction process. This includes following the PMP schedule and completing PMP checklists. * Prepare a list of problems encountered during the shift and other necessary reports. * Document work orders in the MVP system daily. * Participate in the development and implementation of latest technologies to improve productivity and/or quality. * Participate in training to upgrade skills and knowledge to meet changing technologies, customer, government and health and safety requirements. * Make recommendations to improve equipment efficiency and reduce costs. This includes manufacturing, repairs and the installations of parts, components, services, and equipment. * Advise the Manager of any potential problems and offer solutions. * Actively participate in the preparation of safety and operation procedures. * Maintain clean and safe working conditions. * Assist in the training and development of new hires and apprentices.
