Assistant to the Technician

Summary Reporting to the Manager Parks & Facilities, the incumbent will assist and help with the ice resurfacing operator, janitorial duties and respond to public requests at the St. Isidore Recreation Center. Main Responsibilities Fill the Zamboni with water; Remove and replace the hockey nets on the ice; Check and clean players benches; Clean players’ locker rooms including emptying, sweeping and mopping floors; Wash windows, clean bathroom; Assist the operator with room set-up; Disinfect and clean surfaces frequently touched by the public; Able to work evenings and weekends; Able to work independently and follow directions; Able to work with the public; Perform all other duties related to this position; Qualifications And Requirements Education High school diploma or current student (minimum 10th grade) Specific Knowledge Bilingual; General knowledge of cleaning products (WHMIS); Details Hours 6 to 20 hours a week Evenings and weekends Compensation Pay Rate: $18.83/hour Location St-Isidore Recreation Centre 20 Arena Street, St. Isidore, ON Start Date September 8, 2026

Assist the ice resurfacing operator with Zamboni filling and hockey net management. Perform general janitorial duties including cleaning locker rooms, bathrooms, and disinfecting public surfaces.

Requires a high school diploma or current student (minimum 10th grade). Candidates must be bilingual and have general knowledge of cleaning products (WHMIS).
