Our Winnipeg headquarters is hiring a Junior Information Technology Specialist to join the team. This position works within IT department and reports to the IT Manager. This position has opportunity for upward mobility across IT, infrastructure, and/or SaaS environments for the appropriate candidate. Responsibilities Provide technical support to Niche employees. Support the IT department in implementing and maintaining on-premises and cloud-hosted IT projects and systems. Participate in joint IT/IS exercises intended to analyze and improve the company’s information security posture. Provide after-hours coverage as part of an on-call rotation. Required qualifications and skills Diploma from a technical college or technical high school, or equivalent work experience. Significant experience using and supporting Windows (Desktop and Server). Applied knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, VPN, etc.). Awareness of contemporary IT infrastructure (SAN, hypervisors, etc.). Enthusiasm for working within a team and directly supporting technical and non-technical users. Ability to remain organized, motivated, and communicative when balancing multiple priorities. Desirable qualifications and skills 2+ years of IT helpdesk or system administration experience. Microsoft 365 SharePoint/Teams/Entra/Exchange/etc. administration. Microsoft certifications such as Windows Server Hybrid Administrator/MCSE/etc. Software development, scripting, and other methods of automating routine work. Linux server administration. Infosec/cyber security experience and/or certifications. Cisco certifications such as CCNA/CCNE/etc. Job Requirements Because of the nature of the work and our clients, you must be able to meet the following requirements: Obtain a pre-employment criminal background search must be eligible for an RCMP Enhanced Reliability security clearance and may be required to achieve a higher security clearance (e.g. Secret) in the future. Ce que vous ferez

Provide technical support to employees and assist the IT department in implementing on-premises and cloud-hosted systems. Participate in information security exercises and provide after-hours on-call coverage.

Exigences

Requires a technical diploma or equivalent experience with strong knowledge of Windows environments and networking fundamentals. Candidates must be Canadian citizens or permanent residents capable of obtaining high-level security clearances.
