The Role This isn’t a shop-only job. You’ll be out in our yards and job sites, working from a service truck, making sure our equipment is safe, reliable, and ready to go when operations need it. What You’ll Be Doing Keep trucks, trailers, and equipment in ready-to-work condition Perform regular maintenance and inspections Diagnose and repair hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical issues Handle breakdowns and complete repairs in the field Take on larger repairs or overhauls when needed Test equipment to make sure it’s performing properly before it goes back to work Complete work orders and inspections clearly and accurately Help guide and support apprentices on the team Take on welding repairs as required Pitch in where needed What We’re Looking For 3+ years working on heavy equipment Strong troubleshooting ability Comfortable working independently in a field setting Someone reliable, practical, and a team player Willing to travel and be away from home during your shift Thrives in a rapidly changing environment Ability to communicate in French is an asset Tickets & Requirements Heavy Duty Equipment Technician 421A 310T considered an asset Valid driver’s licence with a clean abstract DZ or AZ is a strong asset Welding experience is an asset What You’ll Get Competitive hourly pay with overtime 14 on / 7 off schedule Paid travel LOA or accommodations covered when working away Company service truck provided for field work Full benefits package, including: Employer-paid health benefits Health Care Spending Account Employee & Family Assistance Program Employee Stock Purchase Plan Profit sharing RRSP matching A Few More Things to Know Full-time, long-term work — we’re not looking for contractors Projects are across Eastern Canada Drug and alcohol-free workplace Equal opportunity employer At Northern Mat & Bridge, we value diversity, teamwork, and respect. Requirements
Requires 3+ years of heavy equipment experience and a Heavy Duty Equipment Technician 421A certification. A valid driver's license is mandatory, with DZ or AZ licenses and welding experience considered assets.
