Job Summary: Every ReedHycalog™ Tektonic™ drill bit is specifically tailored to our customers operation with designs that are optimized for every part of the drilling process, helping customers to achieve maximum performance. Featuring advanced bit body geometry and the latest generation of PDC cutter technology, our drill bits increase rate of penetration (ROP), minimize nonproductive time (NPT), and deliver lower costs per foot, improving the efficiency of operation. Join our team as Drill Bit Service Technician responsible for all activities related to the repair of PDC drill bits. Primary Responsibilities: * Conduct bit repair processes including dull grading, pre-heat, cutter removal, pocket prep, cutter assembly, brazing, post-braze clean-up, and final inspection. * As part of drill bit repair process, service tech will operate grinders, blast equipment, torches, pressure washers, and may be involved with painting and general bit movement. * Complete all necessary documentation and data entry during repair process. * Perform equipment inspections as per required procedures. * Maintain 5S / housekeeping of work area. * Communicate to Lead Supervisor any issues with equipment, tools, inspections, and HSE concerns. * Perform other duties as assigned Education and Experience Requirements: * Strong work ethic, with the ability to multi-task and handle a fast pace work environment to meet deadlines. * Ability to work in shop environment and conduct physical activities such as lifting, crouching, reaching, and standing for periods of time. HSE Requirements: * Ability to see the color red (Ishihara test) * Able to pass a physical and a 35lb fitness-to-work test * Able to pass a drug and alcohol test This position is classified as safety sensitive, and employment would be conditional on satisfactory completion of a pre-employment testing. Requirements
Requires a strong work ethic and the physical ability to lift 35lbs and perform manual labor in a shop environment. Candidates must pass a physical, drug and alcohol test, and a color blindness test.
