Job Description Industrial Power Systems | Greater Vancouver, BC | Confidential Search Hands on technical role with real project leadership and direct client contact, not a desk bound design seat. You will lead electrical studies and design packages for industrial facilities, guide projects from early planning through commissioning, and mentor the engineers and designers coming up behind you. The client base brings a steady mix of heavy industry, energy, and utility work. Key Responsibilities Lead electrical work packages through feasibility, front end engineering, detailed design, construction support, and commissioning Develop, review, and approve drawings, calculations, specifications, equipment lists, and technical reports Oversee design packages for substations, medium and low voltage distribution, grounding and bonding, lighting, cable routing, and equipment layouts Perform or review load flow, short circuit, protection coordination, and arc flash studies Own scopes, estimates, schedules, and budgets, and lead technical discussions with clients, vendors, and contractors Conduct site visits, field investigations, and commissioning activities Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers, technologists, and designers Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering P.Eng. with Engineers and Geoscientists BC, or eligible for immediate registration 7+ years of industrial electrical engineering experience in sectors such as manufacturing, energy, utilities, mining, forestry, or process Strong experience building and reviewing complete electrical design and drawing packages Substation design, medium voltage distribution, protection, grounding, cabling, and equipment specification experience Working knowledge of the Canadian Electrical Code, National Electrical Code, and relevant IEEE standards Strong client facing communication, technical writing, and presentation skills Travel within North America, must have valid driver's license Considered an Asset Power system modelling in ETAP, SKM, EasyPower, or similar, protection relay programming, AutoCAD proficiency or oversight, feasibility studies and capital planning, mentoring experience.
