What OCL Offers * Competitive CLAC base rate: $57.17/hr * Vacation and stat holiday pay * Benefits, RRSP, Pension * Overtime pay (Time and a half after 8 hours per day) * Short term disability, long term disability, AD&D, life insurance, dependent life insurance * Paid Training * Travel allowance for both local residents and out of province residents What You’ll Be Doing As a key member of our maintenance team, you will lead and assist with critical shovel operations, ensuring our fleet remains at peak performance: * Component change outs * Undercarriage change outs * Shovel splits * Track frame change outs * Bucket change outs * General repair * Maintenance and lube checks * Work collaboratively and professionally with the crew and the client What You Bring * Journey-certified Heavy Duty Mechanic/HET or Millwright with an Inter-provincial Red Seal Certification * Must have a JM Off Road or Millwright Ticket * A minimum of 3-5 years of related experience * Preference will be given to individuals with previous shovel and mine equipment experience * Must be ok with working night shifts * Driver’s license and clean driver’s abstract * Aerial Work Platform (AWP) training an asset * Must successfully complete a site pre-access drug and alcohol test and various client orientations * CSTS/OSSA or BSO/CSO plus various other site specific training * Confined Space, AWP, Fall Protection are required * Crane and Rigging experience and training is an asset * H2S Awareness is required * WHMIS 2015 is required * Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test * Great attitude towards health and safety * Strong and independent work ethic * Must be legally eligible to work Canada Why Work With Us * Strong leadership that supports employees * Opportunities for advancement * Diverse projects * Team-oriented culture * Respectful workplace * Safety is our top priority - we are committed to providing a safe work environment. Candidates must hold a Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic or Millwright certification with an Inter-provincial Red Seal. A minimum of 3-5 years of related experience and the ability to pass site-specific drug and alcohol testing are required.
