Learn more about OCL here: www.oclgroup.ca The Role We are currently recruiting for experienced Journeyman Millwrights to join our team at Kearl Oil Sands, a major oil sands site in Northern Alberta. The successful candidates will work in a safety-first environment on a 14/7 rotation. Camp accommodations and meals provided. Charter flights provided from designated hubs in Edmonton and Calgary. Job Duties/Responsibilities Operate rigging equipment and dollies to place heavy machinery and parts Read diagrams and schematic drawings and service manuals to determine work procedures Fit bearings, align gears and shafts, attach motors, and connect couplings and belts to precise tolerances Align and test equipment, and make any necessary adjustments Perform predictive and operational procedures Repair or replace defective parts as needed Service and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems Adhering to all company safety procedures and regulatory standards, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols. Skills/Qualifications/Education Registered Journeyperson Millwright Certification Must have valid safety tickets (:CSTS-2020, WHMIS 2015, First Aid, H2S Alive, AWP, Fall Arrest and Confined Space) Proficiency in pump alignments Strong interpersonal and communication skills Previous experience working in an industrial setting Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug and alcohol test Must be willing to complete a criminal background check Must be legally eligible to work in Canada OCL Group Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
What you’ll do
Operate rigging equipment to place heavy machinery and perform precise alignments of gears, shafts, and couplings. Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems while adhering to strict safety and LOTO protocols.
Requirements
Must be a Registered Journeyperson Millwright with valid safety tickets including CSTS-2020, WHMIS 2015, and H2S Alive. Candidates must be legally eligible to work in Canada and pass drug and background checks.
