Powerline Technician – High-Voltage Electrical Systems Location: St. Catharines, Ontario | Full-Time, Permanent Step into a role where your skills make a real impact! We’re looking for a hands-on Powerline Technician to install, maintain, and troubleshoot high-voltage electrical systems (up to 27,600 volts). What You’ll Do Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems including switchgear, power cables, conduits, and terminations Perform testing and reporting to ensure system reliability Provide technical guidance on high-voltage projects and upgrades Work safely in challenging environments – at heights, in confined spaces, and outdoors What We’re Looking For Electrical or Powerline Apprenticeship, or equivalent experience Construction & Maintenance Electrician certification (309-A or 442-A) Ontario Provincial Power Line Maintainer Certificate (or equivalent) 5+ years in high-voltage distribution environments Knowledge of electrical codes, safety standards, and best practices Valid Class G driver’s license Why Join Us? What you’ll do

Install, maintain, and troubleshoot high-voltage electrical systems up to 27,600 volts, including switchgear and power cables. Perform system testing and provide technical guidance on high-voltage projects and upgrades.

Requirements

Requires a Construction & Maintenance Electrician certification (309-A or 442-A) and an Ontario Provincial Power Line Maintainer Certificate. Candidates must have over 5 years of experience in high-voltage distribution environments and a valid Class G driver's license.
