Benefits Extended Health & Dental Benefits Premiums Paid by Employer Employer Contribution Pension Plan Growth Opportunities Paid Training Long term job security Employee Assistance Program Telus Health Virtual Care Responsibilities Work with our team of Journeyman and Apprentice Commercial Truck Transport Technicians in servicing over 10,000 trucks per year Adjust, repair and/or replace parts and components on all commercial transport truck and trailer vehicle systems Perform scheduled maintenance service, such as oil changes, lubrication and tune ups Utilize OEM specified diagnostic procedures to diagnose and repair defects on chassis and drivetrain systems in a timely manner Perform diagnostic road tests Accurately communicate diagnostics and repair plans with supervisor Remain accountable to the Service Manager and Shop Foreman for all work performed Tag warranty parts and customer parts as required Journeyman Technicians to provide training and leadership for Registered Apprentices Participate in all training programs made available through Peterbilt and outside vendors Other duties and projects as assigned Qualifications Completion of secondary school Completion of a four-year Truck and Transport Technician Apprenticeship 4+ years of work experience Red Seal Trade Certification Valid inspection ticket to perform commercial vehicle inspections is an asset Valid class 1 OR 3 Driver’s License with airbrake endorsement is an asset Superior mechanical aptitude with an in-depth knowledge of heavy duty truck repairs Strong computer skills Detail oriented Good written and oral communication skills Strong personal organizational skills as they relate to workload, time management and setting priorities in an unsupervised environment Compensation Rate $48.49 - $53.88 per hour + plus premiums for specific certifications Pay rate will be determined based on previous experience, relevant certifications and skill level

Requirements
Candidates must have completed secondary school and a four-year Truck and Transport Technician Apprenticeship with at least 4 years of experience. A Red Seal Trade Certification is required, and a valid Class 1 or 3 Driver’s License is considered an asset.
