PGS Equipment Ltd. works closely with producers to ensure equipment is properly matched to their operational needs and field conditions. Role Description: The Parts Technician is a full-time, on-site role based in Taber, AB. This role is responsible for assisting customers and service technicians in identifying, sourcing, and supplying parts for agricultural machinery and related equipment. Day-to-day tasks include receiving and stocking parts, organizing and maintaining the parts inventory, preparing orders, and ensuring accurate shipping and receiving documentation. The Parts Technician supports the front counter, answers parts inquiries by phone and in person, provides timely quotations, and helps resolve parts issues to minimize customer downtime. The role also involves operating material-handling equipment, maintaining a clean and safe parts area, and collaborating with other departments to meet customer and service needs. Qualifications Candidates should possess Customer Service and Communication skills to support customers and team members in a professional, responsive manner. Candidates should possess strong Shipping & Receiving skills to handle incoming and outgoing parts accurately and efficiently. Comfort with computer-based parts catalog systems and standard office software is preferred. Candidates should possess Inventory Control skills to manage stock levels, conduct cycle counts, and maintain organized parts storage. Candidates should possess Forklift Operation skills or other material-handling experience to move and store parts safely. Previous experience in a parts department, warehouse, or agricultural equipment environment is an asset. But not mandatory. Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to read parts diagrams and manuals are beneficial. Ability to work on-site in Taber, AB, including standing, lifting, and moving parts as required.
