Road-test motor vehicles, diagnose and test automotive systems, and adjust, repair, or replace components to meet manufacturer specifications. Perform scheduled maintenance, advise customers about completed work and future repairs, and document problems and work performed.

Requirements

Requires a registered apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience, 3 to less than 5 years of experience, and an Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification. A valid driver's licence is required, and the work is performed on-site.
