MOLD TECHNICIAN Shift: Employee will train on the day shift (6:50 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.) for six weeks and will then permanently transfer to the afternoon shift (2:50 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.). 1. Objective ▪ Support production initiatives with mold cleaning and maintenance 2. Responsibilities a. Main Tasks ▪ Remove and replace molds in presses, including maintenance and storage ▪ Perform and record preventative maintenance items on tooling as directed ▪ Minor troubleshooting and recommend process improvement related to quality of product ▪ Identify and communicate mold/machine issues to Process Technicians, Shift Supervisor, and Maintenance ▪ Follow startup procedures for removing and replacing molds ▪ Ice blast, media blast, drill pots, and replacing vaccuum seal b. General Tasks (if relevant) ▪ Perform daily shop inspections and preventative maintenance ▪ Perform preventative maintenance on injection mold tooling ▪ General housekeeping: maintain cleanliness of work areas 3. Qualifications/ Requirements/ Competencies ▪ High school diploma ▪ Crane/Scissor Lift/Reach Lift Truck certification and experience preferred ▪ 1 to 2 years experience in a manufacturing environment with some knowledge of robots is an asset 4. Specifications ▪ High degree of mechanical aptitude and mechanical experience ▪ Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, and comprehension) ▪ Ability to lift approximately 20 to 70 lbs intermittently, pushing and pulling 300 to 400 lbs Accessibility Poly-Nova Technologies is committed to providing an accessible workplace.
