Role Description The Camera Install Technician is a full-time, hybrid role based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada, with some work-from-home flexibility. This role involves installing, configuring, and testing camera systems, cabling, and related vision and safety equipment on vehicles and industrial machinery. The technician will perform on-site inspections, diagnose and resolve technical issues, and ensure systems meet performance and safety standards. Daily responsibilities include coordinating with customers and internal teams, documenting installations and service activities, and providing clear guidance to end users on system operation. The role also requires maintaining tools and equipment, following company and client safety procedures, and supporting continuous improvement of installation practices. Qualifications Technical installation and support skills, including experience with cabling, camera mounting, and basic electrical or electronic systems. Strong troubleshooting abilities to diagnose, repair, and optimize camera and sensor systems in field environments. Effective communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with clients, explain technical information clearly, and support customer satisfaction. Demonstrated focus on customer satisfaction, with the ability to manage expectations and maintain positive relationships on job sites. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to customer locations within the Greater Toronto Area and occasionally beyond. Ability to work safely in industrial and field settings, including adherence to PPE and site-specific safety requirements. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to complete accurate documentation of work performed. Previous experience in camera installation, low-voltage systems, automotive upfitting, or industrial equipment service is an asset.
