Experienced Industrial Conveyor Belt Splice Technician Quality Belt Maintenance Ltd. – Welland, Ontario Quality Belt Maintenance Ltd. is hiring experienced Industrial Conveyor Belt Splice Technicians for permanent, full-time positions. This is not an entry-level position. Applicants must have at least two years of hands-on experience installing, repairing, replacing and splicing industrial conveyor belting. Position details Starting wage: $27.50 per hour Permanent, full-time employment Approximately 40 hours per week, plus overtime Medical, dental and vision benefits Paid safety and customer-site training Company-provided tools, PPE and work clothing Safety-footwear reimbursement Travel expenses and accommodations provided for approved assignments Career-development and advancement opportunities Primary responsibilities Install, repair, replace and splice industrial conveyor belts Perform mechanical splices and conveyor belt change-outs Measure, cut, prepare and align conveyor belting Inspect belts, identify damage and complete required repairs Operate hand tools, power tools and specialized splicing equipment Complete scheduled maintenance, plant shutdown and emergency-service work Follow company and customer-site safety requirements Experience with hot and cold vulcanized splicing is considered an asset. Requirements Minimum two years of directly related industrial conveyor belt-splicing experience Ability to perform core splicing and belt-maintenance duties with limited supervision Valid driver’s licence with an acceptable driving record Valid passport Ability and willingness to travel within Canada and internationally, including to the United States Availability for overtime and varying schedules, including occasional evenings, nights, weekends and statutory holidays Ability to perform physically demanding work in industrial environments Ability to work at heights and in confined or restricted spaces after receiving the required training Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a team To apply, please submit your résumé and a brief description of your conveyor belt-splicing experience to [email protected] Please use “Experienced Splice Technician – Welland” as the email subject line.
