Job summary
We are a Drug Preparation Premises in Mississauga/Oakville, ON and provide hospitals, clinics, and physicians offices with sterile compounded preparations. Our facility employs a variety of experts including trained pharmacists, technicians, chemists, and microbiologists. We currently have a Full-Time opportunity for a Sterility Assurance Technician. Key Responsibilities: Conduct membrane sterility testing per facility standard operating procedures Perform pre and post procedure cleaning and disinfection per facility protocols Accurately document all complete work per good documentation practices for review Conduct daily and weekly environmental monitoring of all classified spaces Identify areas for quality control improvements and suggest changes to upper management as necessary Communicate quality control or compliance issues with urgency Other duties and responsibilities as assigned Preferred Education and Experience: Completed B.Sc. Biology or Microbiology preferred 1-2 years of Quality Control work experience Experience with aseptic processing and/or cleanroom activities preferred Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills Must have strong time-management and multi-tasking skills Ability to work on your own for extended periods Strong MS Office skills Schedule & Location: Full-time, in person Monday to Friday; some weekend flexibility may be required Hours of operation: 5:00 AM – 9:00 PM ─── Compensation: CA$42,000–$46,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications Benefits: Dental care Extended health care Paid time off Vision care ─── Qualified candidates are invited to submit their résumé in one document. Requirements
A B.Sc. in Biology or Microbiology is preferred, along with 1-2 years of Quality Control experience. Candidates should have experience with aseptic processing and strong communication and organizational skills.
