Compensation At S&C, we are dedicated to providing competitive and equitable compensation for all our team members, with a commitment to transparency in our pay practices. The hourly pay range for this position is $22.70 - $36.40. Individual pay within this range is determined by several compensable factors, including the year of study, type of academic program, and the number of prior co-op work terms completed. Join Our Team as a CAD Design Technologist (Co-op)! Are you passionate about CAD Design? S&C Electric Company is seeking a dynamic individual for our Facilities team. The CAD Design Technologist is responsible for reviewing and updating the electrical and/or mechanical designs of our manufacturing facility. Key Responsibilities: * Review and update plant layout documents/drawings using AutoCAD. * Ensure that all drawings are in accordance with S&C's design standards. * Ensure backup of all CAD designs. * Perform data entry to set up and maintain parts storage in our facilities software system. * Assist the Project Coordinator and ensure that capital budget projects follow project timelines. * Participate in quality improvement initiatives for S&C's drawing process. * Other related duties as assigned. What you’ll Need To Succeed: * Registered in a diploma or degree engineering co-op program (mechanical, industrial or manufacturing). * Eligible for a 4 month co-op starting in Winter 2027. * Completed coursework and experience using AutoCAD. * Positive, flexible team-oriented approach, with the willingness and desire to work as part of a team as well as independently. * Self-motivated with the ability to take initiative. * Strong oral and written communication skills. * Detail-oriented, resourceful. * Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications. Physical Effort: Normal or frequent minor physical effort required for the day-to-day activity in the workplace. May involve standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs and lifting/moving/using objects or equipment up to 20lbs. Work Environment: Acceptable working environment with minor or almost no disagreeable or challenging working conditions as part of everyday expected levels (all jobs will occasionally experience undesirable or disagreeable events). The CAD Design Technologist is responsible for reviewing and updating plant layout drawings using AutoCAD to ensure compliance with design standards. They also assist the Project Coordinator with capital budget projects and maintain parts storage data in the facilities software system.

Candidates must be registered in an engineering co-op program (mechanical, industrial, or manufacturing) and possess experience with AutoCAD. Strong communication skills, a team-oriented approach, and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required for this role.
