Service Apprentice, Technician

Door Doctor located in Ottawa part of the Sentinel group, is looking for a Service Apprentice, Technician who are the driving force behind our success - the heartbeat of our company. We’re looking for skilled, dedicated individuals to join our growing team. Key Responsibilities: * Assist Lead technicians with repairs and maintenance of overhead doors and loading dock equipment * Accurately complete work orders, inspection forms, and capture site photos for documentation * Maintain tools, equipment, and PPE to ensure readiness and compliance * Follow all safety protocols and contribute to a safe, professional work environment * Deliver outstanding customer service while representing the company on-site What we're looking for: * Clean, valid driver’s license and reliable transportation * Strong mechanical aptitude and confidence using hand and power tools * Comfortable working at heights * Positive attitude and a team-first mindset Assets: * Experience with loading docks and commercial overhead doors * Welding or millwright experience What's in it for you? * Access to the Sentinel Training Facility, designed to set our technical team up for success and provide a clear progressive career path - a first-of-its-kind in the dock and door industry. Assist lead technicians with the repair and maintenance of commercial overhead doors and loading dock equipment. Ensure accurate documentation of work orders and maintain safety protocols and equipment readiness.

Requires a valid driver's license, strong mechanical aptitude, and comfort working at heights. Experience with welding, millwright work, or commercial doors is considered an asset.
