The Job This is a temporary, full-time position reporting to the Information Services Manager. This position works from the Barrie Head Office (but may include travel to branch offices) and primarily requires in-office attendance. This position will be responsible for: imaging, backing up data and deployment of agency cell phones and laptops, secure data cleaning and to provide information systems technical assistance to Society staff. This is a Bargaining Unit position with CUPE Local 5319. Qualifications * Minimum College Degree in Computer Science and Information Technology or equivalent combination of education and related field experience. Applicants with a related University Degree are also welcomed to apply. * A thorough knowledge of a full range of information systems, software, hardware, and networks. This includes, but is not limited to various versions of Microsoft Hyper-V, Veeam, Windows Server OS, Windows Desktop OS, SQL, SCCM, Azure and Office 365. * Ability to keep knowledge current for all information systems, network, software and hardware technologies, phone systems, video conferencing systems, projectors, audio/video and printing/copying systems. * A capacity to learn program features quickly, often in a self-directed manner. * Excellent problem-solving skills with a strong ability to analyze and remedy information systems, computer, network, software and hardware difficulties. * Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills including the ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively. * Effective listening, verbal and written communication skills. * Strong time management skills & ability to work effectively under pressure to tight timelines, competing priorities and emergent issues. * Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset. * A valid driver’s license and use of a vehicle are required.
