Location: Paradise Branch (may be Grand Falls to Corner Brook area) Day Shift position : 5x2 (Monday - Friday) The wage for this role is between $44.04 to $48.98, depending on years of experience. Your role : * Determine the extent of repairs and perform mechanical repairs accordingly by ordering necessary parts. * Adjust, repair and\or replace the defective parts manually or with appropriate tool. * Try the equipment repaired making sure repairs are performed correctly according to manufacturers’ procedures. * Clean, grease equipment and perform other required maintenance. * Respect the times established to make the repairs. * Inform the Operations Manager of all the repairs required on the unit and of any concerns the customer may have. * Maintain a clean and safe working environment. * Write up time sheets and job descriptions on work performed. * Keep track of time and mileage on repair jobs. * Assure that old parts are disposed of properly and warranty parts are clean and stored in its proper place. * Tools are clean, kept in proper condition and place both in the shop and service vehicle. * Give estimates for repairs when requested by the customer. * Working in conjunction with the Sales and Parts Representative. * Participating in training and upgrading both in-house and outside the company. * To perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor. What you bring : * Must be certified with a Mechanical Certificate in Heavy Equipment Repair (Red Seal) * Minimum of 5.5 years of experience * Must have pertinent experience with construction equipment or equivalent equipment and knowledge of Komatsu products preferable * Computer literacy would be an asset (MS-Office), autonomous, team spirit customer service oriented Join SMS Equipment and experience a career where the right partnership makes everything possible. Requirements
Must hold a Red Seal Mechanical Certificate in Heavy Equipment Repair with at least 5.5 years of experience. Knowledge of Komatsu products and basic computer literacy are preferred.
