SMS Equipment is seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Parts Technician, Journeyperson to provide efficient parts support for internal and external customers. In this role, you will dispense and manage parts inventory, provide accurate parts and pricing information, source alternatives, and support order fulfilment and warehouse activities. Working closely with parts personnel, branch employees, distribution and logistics teams, manufacturers, and customers, you will help resolve inventory issues promptly while delivering friendly, knowledgeable service. Base Wage: $39.46 per hour + premiums Location: Timmins ON Rotation: 14 days on / 14 days off (12-hour shifts, day and night rotation) What You'll Do * Manage parts inventory, including dispensing, receiving, inspecting, sorting, cataloguing, and handling stock. * Provide accurate parts, pricing, and availability information to internal and external customers. * Source alternative parts when OEM parts are unavailable and follow up on back orders. * Complete invoicing, purchase-order, and work-order data entry accurately. * Coordinate shipping instructions and support warehouse activities. * Process CORE returns and keep price lists and catalogues current. * Support apprentice training and help resolve customer inventory issues in a timely, cooperative manner. What You Bring You are a detail-oriented Journeyperson, Parts professional with sound judgement and a commitment to responsive customer service. You take initiative, collaborate effectively, and stay organized while balancing multiple orders and inventory priorities. Additional qualifications include: * 3+ years of experience in materials or equipment handling. * Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external stakeholders * Working knowledge of computerized inventory systems. Nice to Haves * Knowledge of Komatsu or other heavy equipment parts * Experience with stock receiving processes * Forklift certification * Fall Protection certification This position is classified as an Individual Contributor role in SMS Equipment’s competency framework, requiring demonstration of core competencies (customer focus, collaboration, and technical/functional expertise).
