We are looking for friendly, knowledgeable, and professional individual to conduct the authorized duties of the technician as imposed by individual Provincial Pharmacy Regulatory Bodies. This position is for our Long Term Care Operation.Here’s where you’ll be focusing: Some duties of a Regulated Pharmacy Technician include: This posting it for a Registered Pharmacy Technician in our Long Term Care Operation Receive, transcribe and record verbal orders as legislated by the applicable provincial regulatory body Receive and initiate pharmacy prescription transfers as legislated by the applicable provincial regulatory body Check prescriptions for technical accuracy and compliance with laws and regulations as legislated by the applicable provincial regulatory body Coordinate the pharmacy work flow Communicate operational requirements/changes to the pharmacy support staff Supervise inventory management Prescription assembly, refills, compounding Administrative Duties: cycle counts, narcotic counts, return to stocks Receiving telephone refill requests and questions from nursing home staff Prescription data entry, assembly, and preparation for delivery to nursing homes Working with various electronic medication administration software, including Catalyst and Point Click Care Working with pharmacy automation including PacMed, PacVision and PacRoll software Learning and being familiar with the necessary process needed for accurate automation Drug order creation and receiving Adhere to and implement all applicable company policies and standards Assist with other pharmacy operations as required What you have to offer: Completion of the Pharmacy Technician Certification Excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment What we have to offer: A competitive total compensation package that will vary by role and location Flexible work life arrangements to meet your lifestyle needs We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package, which varies by role and designed to help our teammates to live better – physically, financially and emotionally.
