Industrial Mechanic- Millwright Job description: Sofina Foods in Hanover, Ontario is seeking a Millwright, either Apprentice or Licensed, to join their Maintenance department on the night shift. MAIN DUTIES Teardown and setup production equipment as needed, includes completing changeovers as per production schedule. Troubleshoot and solve various mechanical issues as they arise. Provide support to other maintenance staff including Electricians and Power Engineers. Perform regular routines without direct supervision. Advise Production or Maintenance Manager of any issues that could impact production. Act as an advisor to Machine Operators if non-mechanical issues occur. Complete Preventative and Predictive Maintenance tasks as per the company’s extensive PM Program. QUALIFICATIONS If licensed, must have 433A license Experience with fabrication Experience in the installation and repair of machines and equipment is an asset Experience in stainless steel fabrications and repair will be an asset Competent communication skills, both oral and written Computer skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, etc.) Ability to work after-hours tasks and with minimum supervision REGULAR HOURS OF WORK Night shift (10:00pm to 6:00am) Paid 30 min lunch COMPENSATION Apprentice: $35.64/hour (33.79/hour + 0.60/hour shift premium + $1.25/hour weekly attendance incentive) Licensed: $42.76/hour ($40.91/hour + $0.60/hour shift premium + $1.25/hour weekly attendance incentive) Pension & Benefits ABOUT US Sofina Foods is committed to Employment Equity and maintaining a diverse workforce.
