Reports to: Environmental Service Manager The Maintenance will be responsible for specific operations related to mechanical, electrical and maintenance departments. Our Maintenance Aide will be the first point of contact for any concerns related to the facilities of the home. Key Responsibilities: Provide support in the maintenance department, painting operations of the home, general upkeep, as well as making sure everything is as per the company standards. Assist with the property maintenance including exterior duties including snow removal property lightning, garbage, and other general operations. Other duties as required. Participates in company meetings as assigned. Attends in-service education programs. Knowledge and Skills Required: Post-Secondary Certificate in Skill trades or related program or high level of experience. One year or more of experience in a similar position with working knowledge of electrical and mechanical home operations. Strong interpersonal and communication skills required. Ability to multitask, time management and can work independently. Ability to prioritize work and must be able to work in fast paced environment. Ability to read, write and speak English Ability to work safely, following established safety practices & procedures. Passion for providing quality care to residents in a long-term care setting Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Additional Requirements include A negative vulnerable sector check completed within 6 months of start date.
