Your Opportunity Stantec is seeking a motivated Civil Engineer in Training in Prince George, British Columbia to support the delivery of civil projects across Northern British Columbia. In this role, you will contribute EIT support to various civil and municipal projects under the guidance and supervision of a senior engineer/designer. This is a great entry level opportunity for a motivated, energetic individual who wants to challenge their abilities in a dynamic work environment. Your Key Responsibilities * With guidance from Civil Engineers, assist with the preparation and distributions of high quality, accurate and timely documents such as: drawings, reports, minutes, communication logs, change management, and other required documentation. * Support Project Manager(s) / Director(s) in project delivery through initiation, planning, execution, monitor and control, and close-out activities and other PM support tasks. * Conduct material quantity take-offs, analysis/calculations, hand sketches, CAD Drafting, and other EIT support tasks. * Assist in reviewing drawings, drafting technical reports, memorandums and other technical documents. * Perform contract administration, coordination, contract development and other contract support tasks. * Participate and coordinate project team activities and interact effectively with Clients, Contractors, Engineers, Project Managers, and other consultants. * Coordinate and participate in technical proposal writing and other business development activities. Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week. Requirements
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and be registered or eligible for registration as an Engineer-in-Training with EGBC. Strong computer literacy in engineering software and project management tools, along with excellent organizational and communication skills, are required.
