Recruiting experienced Heat Treatment Field Technicians for Edmonton, AB. Please note that this is a Union position, the successful must hold membership and be in good standing with the QCCC. Responsibilities • Load and unload equipment from load sheet, hook up generators • Label cables and equipment • Complete daily equipment maintenance and inspections checks • Transport equipment, supplies and personnel as needed • Power up equipment and perform operational checks in conjunction with the Quality Management Center • Arrive to site prepared with required Personal Protective Equipment and required tools • Plan and prepare equipment for installation and upcoming tasks • Follow Wrapping Specifications as directed • Maintain awareness of permits/Job Hazard Analysis, evacuation points and emergency signals at job sites • Notify Supervisor when Wrapping Specification Modifications are required • Maintain good housekeeping practices at jobsite • Perform Brinell Hardness Testing as per Quality Assurance procedures Qualifications • Electrical or mechanical aptitude • Able to meet the physical demands of the position • Prior experience in a labour focused position is considered an asset • Valid Driver’s License • Able to travel • Able to work variable shifts and hours • Current safety certifications are considered an asset Additional Information • Drug & Alcohol testing is required • Extensive travel to support both Edmonton and Fort McMurray Regions We are an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer.
