Job Type: Full Time, Permanent Schedule: 10+ Hours per day, 5 & 2, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week Location: 9175 – 14 Street NW, Edmonton, AB We Offer: Tool/Boot Allowance Benefits, RRSP/TFSA Matching Specialty Dealer Training Provided with Certification 38 Bay State of the Art Shop with dedicated Engine, Transmission and Machining Bays Specific Manufacturer Tooling with Software and Diagnostics Sureway is a Repair Facility, not a component exchange shop; providing our technicians with a sense of ownership Requirements: Full Complement of Hand Tools Personal Reliable Vehicle CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support Valid Driver’s License Pre-employment: Drug and alcohol testing which may be swab or urine depending on site requirements Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation Fitness to Work Assessment Field On Highway Heavy Equipment Technician Qualifications: Must be a Journeyperson HET (Truck and Transport) Experience working on heavy truck and trailers Engine Rebuild and Performance Software Experience is Required CVIP Certification is Beneficial Power Train Experience is Beneficial Experience with Electronics and Emissions is Beneficial Ability to read/troubleshoot and diagnose using hydraulic and electronic schematics Exceptional organization and cleanliness skills are REQUIRED Field On Highway Heavy Equipment Technician Responsibilities: Work out of a service truck to support field maintenance Has the ability to work on call for road emergencies at night and/or weekends Ensure equipment is maintained at the highest standards, in a timely manner Conduct performance and quality checks according to procedure Perform preventative maintenance, repair, and overhauls Promote, execute and adhere to the company’s safety program, and encourage all employees, subcontractors and consultants to adopt safety as a culture This is a general responsibilities list and does not include all responsibilities required of the position Sureway Construction Group adheres to employment equity and equal opportunity programs.
