Overview Inventory Technician (Heavy Equipment) Sureway Construction is one of Alberta’s largest heavy construction contractors, involved in; civil earthworks and grading, utilities and offsite, mine operation and aggregate extraction. Job Type: Full Time, Permanent Schedule: 10+ Hours/day, Saturdays and Sundays as required, Schedule as per Operational Requirements, OT after 8hr/day or 44hr/week Location: 9175 – 14 Street NW, Edmonton, AB Essential: Hard-working, reliable, flexible wih schedule, ability to work in physically demanding conditions Requirements: Personal Reliable Vehicle CSA approved steel toed boots with 6” ankle support Pre-employment: Drug and alcohol testing which may be swab or urine depending on site requirements Successful completion of Company Orientation and site-specific orientation Fitness to Work Assessment Inventory Technician Responsibilities: Identify, bin locate and store inventory of various makes and models of heavy-duty construction equipment. Determine warehouse deficiencies when reviewing inventory records, document accurate stock numbers and report any newly found discrepancy to supervisor. Assist parts drivers with deliveries, pick-ups and other tasks as required. Coordinate with vendors and suppliers regarding deliveries, returns, and warranty claims. Operate forklift to assist with organization and efficiency of the shop operations. Develop internal systems to ensure inventory is stocked efficiently; and organized effectively to ensure smooth operations of parts department. This is a general responsibilities list and does not include all responsibilities required of the position. Inventory Technician Qualifications: A minimum of 1-3 years’ experience is preferred. Experience with heavy duty equipment components and parts is an asset. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and experience with ToolHound is an asset. Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision is required.
