Membership with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) is not required.** About the role In this role, you will contribute to the design, development, and implementation of mechanical solutions for a variety of automation projects. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams to deliver reliable designs that meet client requirements, technical standards, timelines, and established budgets. What You’ll Do Take ownership of the mechanical portion of projects, including cross-disciplinary coordination and the overall performance of mechanical designs; Carry out technical project follow-up from purchase order receipt through client start-up, including detailed design, drafting, assembly drawings, and installation drawings; Design parts and varied mechanical systems while meeting client requirements, timelines, budgets, established standards, and industry practices; Participate in the commissioning of automated systems and conduct inspections or technical surveys as needed; Prepare project technical documentation and ensure the quality of mechanical deliverables; Identify and consult potential suppliers to support technical decisions and project needs; Solve technical problems using established or innovative methods and conduct comparative studies when required. What You Bring Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, automated production engineering, or a relevant discipline; membership with the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec is an asset; 7 years of relevant mechanical experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience; experience in mechanics and pneumatics across different sectors is an asset; Proficiency in SolidWorks, project management, technical writing, and independent complex problem-solving; Very good command of French and good knowledge of English, both spoken and written, with strong communication skills; Leadership, autonomy, teamwork, a strong interest in continuously developing technical knowledge, and awareness of client business opportunities. Proficiency in French is mandatory. Proficiency in English is also required in order to communicate effectively with internal clients and partners located outside of Quebec. \n Why Join Systemex Automation? Requirements
