Position Summary Tacten is seeking IRATA Level 3 Technicians to join our team for an upcoming Turnaround project at the LNG site in Kitimat, BC! This is a great opportunity to be part of a high-performing team supporting critical turnaround work at one of BC’s leading industrial sites. You’ll work alongside experienced trades and rope access professionals in a dynamic, safety-focused environment, utilizing industry-leading rope access technology to support the successful execution of the project. Position Details: Start Date: October 5, 2026 Site/Location: LNG - Kitimat, BC. Duration: 3 weeks+ Shift/Hours: 6/1 rotation, 12 hours per shift (Day Shift -or- Night Shift) Hourly Rate $63.50/hr. depending on certifications and experience Travel: Flights provided from major Canadian city hubs Accommodations: Company-provided local accommodations, plus LOA Referral Bonus: Eligible employees may receive a referral bonus for successfully referring qualified candidates. Retention Bonus: Eligible employees may receive a retention bonus upon remaining with the company for more than six months. Responsibilities Ensure all rope access activities are performed safely and in compliance with IRATA standards and company policies. Perform inspections, maintenance, and repair work using rope access methods. Plan and execute rigging setups, ensuring operational safety and compliance with site and IRATA requirements. Conduct pre-job hazard assessments, toolbox meetings, and rescue plans. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, inspections, and safety checks. Perform rescues and emergency response procedures as required. Mentor and evaluate lower-level technicians (Level 1 and 2) in safe work practices.Support continuous improvement in safety, quality, and operational efficiency. Requirements Certifications: IRATA Level 3 Certification (valid and in good standing) required Standard First Aid Certification required Valid Driver’s License and Clean Driver’s Abstract required Other site-specific safety tickets if applicable (e.g., Confined Space Entry, H2S Alive, WHMIS, Fall Protection, TDG, Mobile EWP, etc.) Qualifications/Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as an IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technician in industrial environments Strong understanding of rope access theory, rigging principles, maneuvers, hauling systems, and advanced rescue techniques Demonstrated ability to lead, instruct, and supervise Level 1 and Level 2 technicians Proven leadership and communication skills in a team environment Strong safety, quality, and client-focus mindset Self-motivated and capable of working independently in remote, high-risk, and variable conditions Problem-solving and time-management skills with attention to detail Benefits The strength of Tacten lies in its outstanding people. Requirements
Requires a valid IRATA Level 3 certification, Standard First Aid certification, a valid driver's license with a clean abstract, and at least two years of industrial experience as an IRATA Level 3 technician. Candidates should have advanced rope access, rigging, and rescue knowledge, leadership and communication abilities, and a strong safety focus; applicable site-specific safety tickets may also be required.
