Job summary

Whether working from customer sites, or the service office in Vanier, Quebec, or from a home office, you will provide highly visible, customer-focused technical service and support. What You’ll Do: Perform preventive and emergency maintenance and installations as part of a 24/7 on-call regional rotation. Perform maintenance and repairs at customer sites and in-house as required. Provide customers with technical support regarding equipment operation and maintenance. Serve as the primary customer contact for technical and service-related issues. Contribute to a diverse and inclusive workplace where different perspectives strengthen both individuals and the organization. What We’re Looking For: Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) or College Diploma (DEC) in Electrical Engineering Technology or Electrical Engineering. Minimum of one (1) year of experience in power electronics, preferably with UPS systems or battery technologies. Bilingual in French and English (technical English required). No relocation assistance is available. Candidates must live within 80 km of Quebec City. Must be legally authorized to work in Canada without current or future employer sponsorship. Must possess and maintain a valid, unrestricted driver’s license. Must be able to travel to the United States for product and safety training when required. Preferred Qualifications Ability to interpret electrical drawings, perform technical calculations, and use precision diagnostic instruments. Strong understanding of field products and processes before working independently. Good knowledge of: Single-phase and three-phase electrical systems Analog and digital electronic circuit theory Microprocessor controls and programming Basic understanding of: Network functionality Sealed and flooded battery technologies Proficiency with testing equipment and related software. Adherence to all published WSG safety standards. Desired Skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong customer service orientation. Effective time management and organizational skills. Strong analytical and complex problem-solving abilities. Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office. Project management and prioritization skills. Knowledge of safe work practices when working with electrical and electronic equipment. Understanding of Eaton’s electrical, electronic, and mechanical products, as well as competing products. Ability to build long-term customer relationships while representing Eaton professionally and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Requirements
