What To Expect Consider before submitting an application: This position is expected to start around September 2026 and continue through the entire Spring term (i.e. through May 2027) or into Summer 2027 if available. We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time and on-site, for most internships. International Students: If your work authorization is through CPT, please consult your school on your ability to work 40 hours per week before applying. You must be able to work 40 hours per week on-site. Many students will be limited to part-time during the academic year. About The Team The team in Mississauga works on novel cathode precursor manufacturing process development and closely collaborate with internal teams on precursors and cathode materials testing and evaluation. The candidate will work as a Post Doc Fellow and focus on cathode pCAM process development. What You'll Do Work closely with senior engineers to design experiments and support data collection and analysis. Collaborate with engineers and technicians to develop, optimize, and scale up wastewater treatment technologies. Prepare and present technical reports to clearly communicate results and insights to internal teams. What You'll Bring Education requirement: Received PhD within the last five years Graduated from a relevant engineering or science program, such as Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Materials Science, Materials Engineering, or a closely related field. Currently hold legal authorization to work in Canada. Available to work full-time for a minimum of 12 months, starting September 2026. Experience with lithium-ion battery cathode materials synthesis and process development, preferably iron phosphate precursor synthesis and process development. Knowledge of hydrometallurgy, precipitation/purification processes, impurity control, or related inorganic process chemistry. Experience with mass balance, chemical process modelling, morphology control in particle synthesis. Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment. Strong data analysis skills, including the ability to interpret and present experimental results.
