Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day operations and maintenance of building systems and mechanical equipment across a designated area of the portfolio. They will be physically comfortable completing repairs and maintenance work and will be required to undertake unit maintenance when tenants vacate. As Maintenance Technician, you’ll be: Responding to fire alarms, intrusion alarms, electrical failures, water leaks, property damage etc. Recording mechanical, electrical and water readings and on occasion resetting a building system when requested by the Employer. Touring common areas and keeping areas free of individuals soliciting from customers and or tenants. Responsible for general presentation and maintaining the development in a first-class manner, including ensuring building safety, using their own judgement or as directed by Employer. Attending to tenant and guest inquiries and maintenance requests. Coordinating, reviewing and managing of parking, parking allocation, enforcement and revenue collecting as required. Involved in coordinating and delivering guest services and amenities. Collaborating with team members to ensure efficient completion of duties. Providing excellent customer service by efficiently responding to tenant concerns. Investigating, diagnosing and repairing general maintenance issues as required. Conducting daily building inspections to ensure building systems are operating, no safety hazards are evident, and the site is clean. Performing required preventative maintenance activities as assigned. Working with subcontractors to maintain key building systems – elevators, fire alarms, sprinklers, etc. Such other similar or related duties as may be required from time to time. What we’re looking for: Previous customer service experience is considered an asset. Experience working in Food & Beverage environments is considered an asset. Basic computer skills to access maintenance ticketing, software, send emails and generate basic reports. Responding to other District related maintenance requests as required. Willing to work with flexibility in schedule to meet business needs. Experience maintaining building infrastructure – doors, windows, plumbing, etc. Excellent problem-solving skills. Strong analytical skills with a high attention to detail Effective organizational and time management skills with a focus on achieving deadlines Prior experience in the Maintenance Technician field is considered an asset Physical Requirements: Lift 50lbs individually Lifting >50lbs with another person(s) Standing and walking for extended periods of time Repetitive bending Climbing / work from ladders Working overhead Crouching / kneeling for extended periods of time What's in it for you?
