Mobile Service Technician Multisite Location: Huntsville & North Bay This role pays: $25-$26 hourly Position Overview The Mobile Service Technician keeps Large Equipment rental fleet ready through preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and technical support for Tool Rental Centre associates and customers across assigned stores. This mobile role requires mechanical aptitude, safe work habits, customer focus, and the ability to plan routes and priorities independently. Key Responsibilities In this role, you will: Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, diagnostics, and minor repairs on large rental equipment. Ensuring fleet is rental-ready, safe and clean for stores and customers. Respond to customer service calls and resolve equipment concerns in the field. Follow all safety, transportation, towing, PPE, Hazmat, and driver log requirements. Qualifications 2+ years’ experience in equipment rental or mechanical service, including engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and compact construction equipment. High school diploma or GED. Valid provincial driver’s licence with a clean driving record. Able to read technical manuals, schematics, and parts catalogues. Comfortable with smartphones, tablets, laptops, and mobile apps. Flexible for shifts, weekends, or after-hours work as needed. Authorized to work in Canada and pass a background check. Working Conditions Works in stores, lots, shops, and field settings in varied weather. Requires lifting up to 50 lbs and working around equipment, grease, fumes, oils, chemicals, and noise. Travel between assigned locations required; overnight travel is limited.
