Jim Pattison Lexus Northshore is looking for an experienced and motivated Red Seal Certified Automotive Technician to join our growing Service Department. As a Lexus Technician, you’ll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of Lexus vehicles while using advanced technology, diagnostic systems, and manufacturer-specific repair procedures. You’ll be part of a skilled and supportive team that takes pride in quality workmanship, keeping vehicles safe and reliable, and delivering the exceptional level of service our customers expect from the Lexus brand. Pay Range: $38.00 to $44.00 hourly flat rate depending on certification and level of experience. A Day in the Life Diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles in accordance with manufacturer and dealership standards Perform thorough vehicle inspections with accurate documentation and measurements Identify mechanical and electrical issues, recommend solutions, and communicate findings clearly to Service team Partner with Service Advisors to provide updates on repair timelines or recommend additional safety work Conduct road tests and pre-delivery inspections on new inventory to ensure every vehicle leaving the shop is in top condition Coordinate with the Parts Department to source what you need and manage warranty labeling Assist fellow technicians when needed to maintain overall shop productivity Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment at all times Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards Ensure a high degree of confidentiality with company and customer information Participate in maintaining a supportive and engaging working environment What We’re Looking For Automotive Service Technician Red Seal Certification or currently in the process of challenging it Previous experience as an automotive technician is required A valid BC Driver’s license is required, including a satisfactory Driver’s Abstract is required Able to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, with a keen attention to detail Detail oriented, with the ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities Ability to remain calm and focused in a fast-paced environment Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Reliable, punctual, and dependable Ability to work the physical requirements of a service technician role Ability to regularly lift up to 60 pounds Ability to stand for extended periods of time High level of mobility, dexterity, endurance, and sensory awareness Ability to work in an automotive shop environment Indoor automotive shop with multiple service bays Exposure to noise (engines, air tools), fumes (exhaust, solvents), and dust Work performed around moving vehicles, hoists, and heavy equipment Temperature can vary (shops may be cooler in winter, warmer in summer despite heating/ventilation) What We Offer Competitive wages Comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, and insurance Unlimited opportunities for advancement, growth, and development Manufacturer led training opportunities Access to exclusive corporate discount programs Recognition and rewards programs A great team atmosphere and a positive, supportive working environment How to Apply If this sounds like a great fit, please apply with your resume today!
