We are a small firm built around professionalism and work-life balance, looking for a self-motivated P.Eng who can work independently and take ownership of projects from start to finish. The Role This is a full-time hybrid position based in the Greater Toronto Area. You will work primarily from a home office and must be available Monday–Friday, 8am–5pm. A valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle are required for site visits. Compensation $80,000 – $130,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Responsibilities Perform structural analysis and complete detailed calculations for residential projects including renovations, additions, and new builds Prepare and review engineering drawings using CAD software Conduct on-site inspections in and around the City of Toronto to assess structural integrity and provide technical recommendations Detailed design work in wood, concrete, and steel for residential and small commercial projects Framing and timber frame design Retaining wall design Screw pile installation verification and conformance review (training provided) Ensure compliance with local building codes and Ontario regulations Collaborate with architects, contractors, and clients throughout the project lifecycle Miscellaneous civil and structural engineering tasks as required Qualifications Active P.Eng license in Ontario; willingness to obtain licensure in additional Canadian provinces is an asset Must reside in the Greater Toronto Area 4–15 years of structural engineering experience Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a Canadian university Proficiency in structural analysis, calculations, and CAD tools Familiarity with Ontario Building Code and local Toronto requirements Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to deliver practical engineering solutions Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Previous experience with residential structures, renovations, or additions is a strong asset Valid driver's license and access to a personal vehicle
