Position Summary Total Oilfield Rentals is currently looking for a Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. Reporting to the Branch Manager, the Heavy Equipment Technician will be responsible for responsible for working independently and as part of a larger crew to mobilize, demobilize, and service oilfield rental equipment This position is fulltime and is based out of our Grande Prairie location. Time Commitment 5 days on, 2 days off. You may be required from time to time to work outside these hours as the need arises. Schedule may be altered at the discretion of management. Summary of Duties (Duties may include, but are not limited to the following): * Conduct regular preventative maintenance tasks and inspections; * Responsible for using proper tools and techniques to complete the job safely; * Maintain shop tools and work area; Required Competencies * Minimum 2nd Year Apprentice or Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician Alberta Apprenticeship Board Certification * Heavy Truck & trailer experience * CVIP license preferred * Experience Operating a Service truck * Experience working in camp * Experience with Cat, John Deere, Komatsu and Hyundai Wheel Loaders * Experience with 6.7 Litre Cummins Engines, Light Towers, Generators * Experience working in Mining Operations * A friendly, outgoing personality and ability to work with individuals, groups and other organizations to fit in with our great working atmosphere Working Conditions * Flexible and willing to be on call some weekends * Willing to work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions with heavy equipment.
