Job Summary Total SignWorks is seeking an experienced Sign Maker to join our team. The Sign Maker is a professional, self-motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a commitment to excellence. This role works closely with our Project Coordinator(s) to assist with preparing artwork, creating production-ready files, operating equipment, and supporting fabrication and installation. Design and produce a wide variety of signs from inception to completion. Full-time availability (40 hours/week). Operate and maintain large format printers, cutters, and laminators. Apply vinyl to substrates including ACM panels, signage, and vehicles. Perform in-shop fabrication using tools such as saws, drills, and panel saws. Manage and track electronic and paper records related to jobs. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the manufacturing/production area. Collaborate with team members to ensure projects move efficiently from approval to production. Consult and interface with customers to ensure their signage needs are met. Perform simple in-shop installations and occasional on-site installations. Prepare mock-ups and propose effective materials for sign projects. Learn and adapt to new technologies, skills, and techniques to enhance sign-making proficiency. Assist in maintaining company signage equipment. Ensure timely completion of print production tasks. Qualifications 3+ years of experience preferred (we are open to the right candidate with strong hands-on experience). Expertise in vinyl creation, application, and operating large format digital printers, plotters, and laminators. Proficiency in using Adobe Design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.) and RIP software. Knowledge in color management. Experience with pre-flighting and creating proofs from client artwork. Knowledge of sign fabrication methods and materials. Ability to create shop drawings and layouts for permits, fabrication, and installation. Strong design creativity and attention to detail. Excellent oral and written communication skills with a professional and polished demeanor with coworkers, customers and subcontractors. Ability to read, interpret, and follow work orders accurately. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to propose effective materials for sign projects. Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects efficiently. Desirable Qualifications Vehicle wrap installation experience Certified installation professional (3M, Avery, etc.) This role may also be referred to as: Sign Production Technician, Sign Maker, or Sign Production Specialist.

The Sign Production & Graphics Technician is responsible for preparing production-ready files, operating large format printing equipment, and performing in-shop fabrication. They will also manage project records, maintain equipment, and assist with both in-shop and on-site signage installations.

Candidates should have 3+ years of experience in sign making, including expertise in vinyl application and Adobe design software. Proficiency in operating printers, cutters, and laminators, along with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills, is required.
