Reefer Technician Shift: Friday to Sunday; 6:00 AM to 6:30 PM Operating for over 50 years; the TransX is one of the largest Canadian (CN Rail-owned) providers of premier integrated transportation and logistics services across North America. As a TransX Technician, you will enjoy working in a clean, innovative and professional team-oriented shop. The Reefer Technicians will work in conjunction with the Service Writer and the other Technicians to complete preventative maintenance and repairs on the TransX fleet in a timely and efficient manner by diagnosing problems found during inspections prescribing the correct remedial action. Benefits: * Hourly Rate Range: $30.00 - $39.00 * Additional hourly premiums available (shift ad skill-based) * $3,000.00 Sign on bonus program * $500.00 Tool and PPE allowance * $300.00 Boot allowance * 25-40 hours of annual training and supports education reimbursement * Comprehensive group health benefits * Referral bonus program (conditions apply) * Employee and Family Assistance Program (EFAP) * Canada Life RRSP contribution with company match * Career development opportunities Qualifications: * Two (2) to five (5) + years’ experience as a reefer technician * Possessing Carrier and/or Thermo King training/accreditation is an asset * Master of common occupational skills * Performs preventative maintenance - minor service, downloads, prime/start units, RPM adjustments, minor repairs, run pre-trips, fuel polishing, and washing out units and battery replacement * Performs preventative maintenance - major service, charging system - diagnose, repair and replace - starters, alternators, engine components - diagnose, repair and replace - Flywheel, belts, bearings and damper doors, electrical systems - diagnose, repair and replace - performing diagnostics using scanners, electronic test equipment, and on-board computers * Perform troubleshooting, diagnosis and repair of components on truck and trailer refrigeration units, repairing failures; removing, replacing, testing for Freon leaks, assembling, and installing parts and components involving soldering welding and the use of refrigeration equipment * Terms and conditions apply to be eligible for the signing bonus Why Join TransX: * Large, Canadian owned company (CN) * Operating for over 50 years * Leading transportation and logistics services * 11 Terminals across North America * Competitive compensation * Partnered training programs and learning support provider * Committed to Diversity and Inclusion in the Workplace. Candidates must have two to five years of experience as a reefer technician and possess strong diagnostic and repair skills. Professional accreditation from Carrier or Thermo King is considered an asset for this role.
