Job Description: The successful candidate will be responsible for performing assigned mechanic tasks throughout the hospital as well as maintenance duties throughout the hospital facilities, according to policies, procedures, legislated codes and regulations to support a functional, reliable, safe and comfortable health care environment. Attention to detail and commitment to complete tasks while not compromising quality. Educational Requirements: Minimum grade 12 education with current Province of Ontario Skilled Millwrighting Trade license and/or equivalent, with courses in Refrigeration, HVAC, Electricity, Mechanics and CAD/Blue print reading. Qualifications: * Completion of an Apprenticeship program preferred * Ability to make decisions on proper use of material and means of effecting repairs Flexibility to work all shifts on a rotating basis * Ability to work on own initiative * Ability to communicate effectively * Work effectively in a team environment Satisfactory attendance and performance record required Internal candidates who believe they possess the necessary qualifications and experience for this position and who have been in their current position for at least six (6) months are encouraged to apply. Requirements
