Position: Parts Technician Position Type: Full time – Permanent Location: Edmonton South, Alberta Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 10:00 AM - 6:30 PM First Truck Centre, doing business as Velocity Truck Centres, is currently accepting resumes for an experience Parts Technician for our Edmonton South branch. Compensation Plan Competitive Base Salary ( D.O.E.) Company-paid extended health coverage that includes medical, dental, and vision coverage. Basic life insurance, disability, and wellness programs. Employer RRSP matching plan. Generous accrued vacation time. Duties and Responsibilities Take customer telephone calls. Provide exceptional customer service to walk in customers. Sell, store, and supply parts to customers. Computer use to process parts and supplies, maintain records, prepare orders, post receipts, sales contracts, stock adjustments and credit requests. Bill out order requests. Follow the inventory and merchandising processes while maintaining the retail display. Implement workflow procedures and continuous improvement initiatives for the department. Required Qualifications Minimum 2 years’ experience as a parts technician. Journeyperson Parts Technician ticket is preferred. Strong interpersonal / communication skills both verbal and written. Heavy duty parts knowledge is a major asset for this role. Initiative-taker able to work in a fast-paced, detailed environment. Adequate computer skills. Dealership or equivalent experience is an asset. Maintain a valid Class 5 driver's license.
