Job Description We are looking for a skilled Electrician Technician to join our manufacturing group in Guelph, ON! The Mechanical Assembler is responsible for the safe and efficient assembly/fabrication of our industrial water systems according to quality systems and specifications. Responsibilities Read, interpret, and assemble electrical equipment based on general arrangement drawings, electrical schematics, single line diagrams, and P&ID drawings. Possess working knowledge of the operation and installation of various valves, instruments, pumps, machinery, and materials related to water treatment equipment. Operate overhead cranes, forklifts, and aerial lifts to aid in assembly. Use a wide variety of hand tools, power tools, stationary machinery, and measuring instruments. Promote, participate, and improve all aspects of site Environmental Health & Safety. Design conduit runs to meet customer specifications while complying with electrical codes. Fabricate and install all conduit and raceways for electrical wiring out of various materials. Install wiring between instruments and control panels. Perform continuity tests on completed assemblies to verify integrity and quality of the equipment. Complete all Quality Assurance documentation and follow all Q/A policies and procedures. Qualifications Qualifications / Requirements: 2 years of electrical experience in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. Knowledge of electrical codes and guidelines (NEC,CSA, etc) Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments. Ability to understand engineered electrical drawings. Knowledge of WHMIS and Lock out/Tag out. Must be able to work 1st shift (6:45am-3pm) Must be able to work overtime as required Strong sense of urgency and initiative Additional Information Preferred Qualifications Experience with water treatment equipment. Educational background in electromechanical systems. Troubleshooting live electrical systems. The Electrician Technician is responsible for the safe and efficient assembly and fabrication of industrial water systems. This includes reading and interpreting electrical schematics and performing continuity tests to ensure quality.
Requirements
Candidates should have at least 2 years of electrical experience in a manufacturing environment and knowledge of electrical codes. Proficiency with tools and the ability to understand engineered electrical drawings are also required.
