Our ideal Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) builds positive client relationships by displaying genuine care and compassion towards clients and their pets, being respectful in all interactions and providing exceptional customer service. The RVT also assists the Veterinarian with medical, surgical and dental procedures, by using a range of diagnostic equipment, preparing patients, instruments and equipment for surgery; and administering and monitoring medicines under the direction of a Veterinarian. Our ideal Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) must have passed the VTNE or be eligible to write the VTNE, be in good standing with the provincial regulatory association and successfully completed a 2 or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program. The successful candidate will perform clinical veterinary technician duties 75% of the time, including surgical and medical assistance. The remaining 25% of the role involves providing operational leadership and management to the veterinary team.

Candidates must have completed a 2 or 3-year accredited Canadian Veterinary or Animal Health Technology Diploma Program. Applicants must also have passed or be eligible to write the VTNE and be in good standing with the provincial regulatory association.
