This role is critical to ensuring high-quality repairs, preventative maintenance, and an exceptional tenant experience. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will collaborate closely with other Maintenance Technicians, property management, contractors, and head office teams. Strong troubleshooting ability and technical decision-making are essential for success in this role. This is a temporary contract position expected to last approximately 6–9 months. Hourly Pay Range: $25.00- $29.00. What you’re great at * Repairs are completed right the first time, with zero callbacks due to workmanship * Preventative maintenance is executed proactively and on schedule * Tenants receive professional, clear, and respectful communication * Maintenance issues are diagnosed efficiently and resolved cost-effectively * Properties are well-maintained, safe, and visually appealing * Strong collaboration with internal teams and external vendors What you’ll be doing * Perform complex troubleshooting and diagnostics for building maintenance issues. * Execute preventative and corrective maintenance for residential properties. * Conduct regular unit and property inspections. * Perform light carpentry, drywall repair, painting, and general repairs. * Assist with building mechanical system checks and servicing. * Coordinate and oversee contractors and vendors on-site. * Ensure proper tenant notification and access coordination. * Maintain detailed maintenance records and reports. * Support unit turnovers, inspections, and move coordination. * Participate in after-hours or weekend emergency response as required. * Work collaboratively with the Site Manager, and Head Office teams. What we’re looking for * Understanding of plumbing and boilers is an asset. * Grade 12 diploma required; trade training or certification is an asset. * Ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and work independently. * Strong work ethic with attention to quality and safety. * Comfortable working in varied weather and site conditions. * Valid driver’s license * Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. * WHMIS knowledge is an asset.
